Programming the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906 with Autel IM608 II + XP400 Pro: All Keys Lost

In this article, we will explore the process of programming the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906 with all keys lost using the Autel IM608 II + XP400 Pro. This model utilizes a blade-style key with 46 transponders. We will not only cover the programming steps on the bench but also demonstrate how to program the vehicle to enable it to start and run. So, let’s dive into the detailed procedure.

Connection
IMMO >> Accept >> Mercedes-Benz LD
Establishing a connection to the VCI.
Please make sure that the VCI is connected to the vehicle and the ignition is ON.
Please wait while the Autel IM608 Pro2 scanner establishes communication. This may take up to 10 seconds.
Press “OK”.

Expert selection >> W906 EIS(mechanical key)
This function may cause chip damage! Please proceed with caution!
Press “Yes” to continue.
Here we can check the wiring diagram, about 6 wires in total. Having already sold them on, let’s move forward.

Read & Write New Key

Press “Read EEPROM data”.
This function can only be performed on the bench. Please connect the wires according to the wiring diagram and then complete the operation. Press “Yes” to continue.
Reading transponder data, please do not disconnect the USB cable…
Succeed in saving the transponder data information.

Key learning >> Select EIS EEPROM file >> OK >> Generate new keys
Please put the blank key into the key slot of the XP400Pro Programmer.
Generation succeeded.
Succeed in saving the transponder data information.

Do you want to continue generating keys? No.
Do you want to write the EIS EEPROM data directly? Yes.
Writing transponder data, please do not disconnect the USB cable…
Succeeded in writing!

Key learning >> Select EIS EEPROM file >> OK
It shows the “Number of keys” is 5.
Complete.

Now we can unsolder the wires and plug the EIS back into the car. Use the key to start and run the vehicle.

Conclusion:
By utilizing the Autel IM608 II + XP400 Pro key programming tools, programming a 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906 with all keys lost scenario becomes a manageable task. Following the step-by-step procedure outlined above, one can successfully program a blade-style key with 46 transponders. Remember to test the programmed key in the vehicle to confirm its functionality. With the right equipment and proper execution, you can ensure a reliable and secure key replacement process for your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906.

Program 2012 Range Rover Sport All Keys Lost by Autel IM608

One client completed his first key programming job on a 2012 Range Rover Sport all keys lost with Autel MaxiIM IM608.

General automotive background:

Mechanical
Electrical.

Skills wanted:

Key coding
Programming
Coding / Configuration / Relearning
Diagnostic frame work.

On some Land Rover, there’s a module called a KVM module, it stands for keyless vehicle module, it’s located in the back of the trunk of the Land Rover and this is what it looks like now. Now when you are doing the relearning process if you want to add a key or do an all keys lost scenario, you have to take this module out and there’s gonna be some soldering involved where you need to connect it to the XP400 to extract the data and save the file back to the MaxiIM IM608, this is something I call Bench Mode.

This is where you know take out the module you put on your bench and you connect it where the wiring diagram. There are different ways to obtain certain EEPROM information there was Bench mode, there’s BDM, this stands for background debugging module, there’s boot mode and then there’s through the OBD.  Fortunately in this presentation we’ve gonna be doing it by OBD.

What you will learn:

How to do an all keys lost scenario on Autel MaxiIM IM608?

Risks involved when doing key coding on certain Land Rover vehicles.

Knowing the different methods to read data from certain ECU modules.

Understanding value based pricing.

The second thing was he earned while he was learning.

Tips:

If you are new to key coding, choose your jobs carefully.

Land Rover keys can be programmed via Bench or coded via the scanner.

After identifying the vehicle… Select IMMO scan (make sure the USB cable is to connect to the Jbox and Bluetooth if off) -> click on “Key learning”.

Some vehicle that have a high risk associated with them will have a higher reward. Use value based pricing.
